We’re Hiring!

The Midwest Center for Investigative Reporting is a nonprofit, online newsroom based in Champaign, Ill., covering corporate agribusinesses in the Midwest and the impact they have locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Our deep investigative and enterprise reporting strives to better connect the public and other journalists  with the issues driven by big ag – including food, policy, energy, climate and labor issues. Our staff produces data visualizations, maps and graphics in addition to radio, video, photographic and online stories. We use our combined decades of experience to produce innovative, thoughtful and data-driven stories that encompass several voices.

Our new project, Big-AgWatch.org, will showcase this work as well as aggregated content surrounding this billion-dollar agribusiness industry. Over the next year, Big-AgWatch, will also launch new tools that make understanding and discussing these issues easier.
