Finding the right source for a news story always has been important but the public demands more, especially in the current political climate in the United States.

IowaWatch co-founder Stephen Berry was part of an “Ethical Perspectives on the News” television program that addressed that demand. The program aired on Sunday, April 23, on the KCRG-TV9 and KCRG 9.1 television stations. Other panelists were Jennifer Hemmingsen, opinion page editor at The Gazette (Cedar Rapids, IA) and Frank Durham, associate professor and director of the master’s program in strategic communication at the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The moderator was Al Fisher, a retired psychologist.

The Inter-Religious Council of Linn County produces “Ethical Perspectives on the News.”
